This complex seven-phase, multi-million-dollar project that remodeled SFGH’s Radiology Department addressed the hospital’s aging infrastructure and services. The final design allowed SFGH to add an additional MRI and Interventional Radiography room to its list of modalities. We addressed asbestos, fire-rating deficiencies, HVAC, electrical code issues and corrected them. The post-tension concrete slab presented numerous challenges with loading and equipment anchorage. Phase seven added an additional 30 tons of chilled water capacity for the hospital. This additional chilled water took care of some of our project demands and gave the hospital future expansion capabilities. All seven phases were completed without elimination of any hospital services.
